final Reflection

This course has been very inspiring and enjoyable, I have learnt a lot of significant lessons throughout this course. My classmates did a great presentations about the most incredible cities in the world. I liked Seychelles island presentation, I really excited to visit and see the awesome places that they mentioned in their presentation. On other hand, I have learnt about my different types of sport in UAE such as camel racing and falconry. Camel racing is very unique heritage of the UAE. In the past, they ride a camel to travel from place to another while today camel racing become official sport that attracts a huge number of audiences including the ruling families. Besides the above mentioned, I have also learnt a lot of other skills, such as; communication & presentation skills, being confident, conducting an interview, being an effective team member, and many more. To sum up, I am sad that this course has come to an end but I am very thankful for the most enjoyable 12 weeks of fun, it would be unforgettable course in my entire stay in HCT.

 The camel is a great value in the Arab history of man throughout history, right up to the present era, where the camel represents everything to Arab people for them it’s not an ordinary animal it’s a transport and also its a food for the family, neighbors and guests whether their milk or meat so it was a source of food security. The races were very limited in the events, and purpose of it was only to keep the camels fit and also to enjoy. this races did not exceed the female category which was little boring because the female run for short distance .When Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, start to come it was like a great support for the camels owners which help to develop this sport year after year, In 1980, it was the year that none of us well forget it because we saw a directing from Sheikh Zayed he establish the final jump Festival and in that time the raounds was short and it was few. At the first copy and the participants were well-known, and media coverage were not exist. After that race Sheikh Zayed said :(( there should be a media coverage)). He saying later in when the renaissance of the UAE began and entered the stage of great transition to modern life, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, saw at that time that it is important to maintain the sport grandparents, especially after it was completed held various jobs the state after the union, and there were  a group of citizens are not qualified academically and do not have certificates, he fired the idea of ​​camel racing in order to preserve this heritage and to guide sector of the citizens of the interest in this heritage and the preservation of the sport. The races are held at weddings and holidays and Sheikh Zayed give a salary the first of ten camels in each race owners to take a good care for the camel and to motivate them. Also there was a private racing to Their Highnesses Rulers Emirates done once every year or two. Sheikh Zayed change the distance of the race from 5km to 10 km. he believed that this group of camel (alzomol)  need for longer distance to be more comfortable. He was not to maintain the sport only comfort but also camels. In 2005 these sport have great change when human rights band the children jokes in race and use robots. This sport has also started of great concern in a number of European countries, where it was organizing three successful races during the years (1998 and 1999) in all of Germany and Australia under the auspices of the State Union of camel racing. So now a days this sport have a lots of fans in UAE not only from old people like in the past but for young people. Also this sport it’s one of best sports in UAE which have media cover (TV, YouTube, radio ….). There is a race every Friday

We decided to visit two places,  Madinat Zayed and Al Wathba because we have  relatives and  farms there, so it will be easy for us to reach there and contact our relatives who have got camels which are prepared for racing.

How to be successful leader 

Leadership means to lead a group of people and guide them.The good leader is one who is able to pilot evolution of this organization. Every organization has a leader, a leader to help the team players through every obstacle. The organizations depend on a lot of factors; one of them is the leader and the team itself, the stakeholder behind that organization.

To start to be a great and good leader you must try your best to develop your skills and focus on leadership skills that can give you the power of a great leader and to improve your

leadership skills you must work hard and develop the traits needed to be a successful leader.

There are many businesses or organizations which need leadership to run them. I watched videos about the leadership and how to be a successful leader.

Firstly, I will talk about the content of the videos. Actually there are many fields like sport for the leadership and he could be coach, captain or athlete. The good leader takes care for his organization or team and he’s responsible for it. For example in any organization the successful leader is the one who manage it well and develop it. Furthermore, in sport field the leader an ex-player or athlete to share his experience with his team. Moreover, the good leader should have his own vision and strategies and it could be like a criteria for a successful leader. Also I noticed there is a third part called stakeholder which could help the leader and support him to improve his organization. The leader has to make some networking with his colleagues to raise their efficiency.

Secondly, I will talk about my self-reflection about this videos. I believe that before you start your business or sport you need an advisor or coach to give you some advices and improve your skills. But, before that you should know what you are really going to do and what you want to achieve. Like for the athletes they need a good mentor to take care of them and help them to make their own name. They have many aims and they are working hard to achieve it for example, some of them want to break the records. I think there are two keys to be a successful leader and it is networking and finding a good mentor. If the leader share anything with the team he can make a good networking. Also the athletes need to find a good mentor and stick with him for his wide knowledge.
